Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Machame Gate (1,800 m) → Machame Camp (2,835 m)
Register at the gate and hike through lush rainforest to the first camp.

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Cave

Leave the forest for moorland and climb onto the Shira Plateau with views of Kibo.

Day 3: Shira to Lava Tower to Barranco
Shira Cave → Barranco Camp (3,960 m)
Climb to Lava Tower at 4,630 m for acclimatisation, then descend to Barranco Camp beneath the great wall.

Day 4: Barranco Wall to Karanga
Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp (3,995 m)
Scramble up the Barranco Wall, then follow the southern circuit to Karanga Valley. A short day to help acclimatisation.

Day 5: Karanga to Barafu high camp
Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp (4,673 m)
Climb into alpine desert to Barafu, eat early and rest before the summit attempt.

Day 6: Summit night to Uhuru Peak, descend to Mweka
Barafu Camp → Mweka Camp (3,100 m)
Start around midnight. Reach Stella Point on the crater rim near dawn, then Uhuru Peak. Descend to Barafu for brunch and continue to Mweka Camp.

Mweka Camp → Moshi
Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, collect your summit certificate and transfer to Moshi.

Children: Minimum age for the summit is 10 years.

Requirements
- Good fitness: you should be able to hike 6–8 hours on consecutive days
- Travel insurance covering trekking to 6,000 m and helicopter evacuation
- Minimum age 10
- Medical check recommended
Cancellation
- 60 days or more before arrival: deposit refunded minus bank charges
- 59–30 days: 30% of the tour price
- 29–8 days: 50% of the tour price
- 7 days or less, or no-show: 100% of the tour price
